I am a botanical artist and teacher based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
In 2009 I did the diploma course run by Hellen Allen at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London and graduated with distinction in 2011. Since then I have been awarded 3 silver-gilt medals from the RHS and 2 certificates of botanical merit from the SBA.
I run regular workshops in Salisbury, Beaconsfield and for the local Wiltshire Wildlife trust. In 2016 I established the Salisbury Florilegium Society with a group of students and friends. To celebrate 800 years of Salisbury Cathedral last year, I co-published a book ’Secret Gardens of the Close’ showing all 120 paintings done by the group. This is still available through the Salisbury Florilegium website.
I am a member of the SBA, SWSBA and Amicus Botanicus and exhibit regularly with these groups, as well as locally within Salisbury’s thriving art scene.
I can be found on Instagram, sallypondbotanicals and on facebook, Sally’s Botanical Art.
I can be contacted by email, email@example.com and I am always happy to accept commissions.
