Hello I am a Champion based in Leeds West Yorkshire. I have always had an interest in drawing and painting but spent my working life at Yorkshire Water. Since retiring in 2015 I have been learning how to use water colour to portray plants as true to life as possible. Through workshops with the Northern Society of Botanical Artists and Rachael Dawson I have made some progress. However all these activities are in Sheffield and beyond which means over an hours journey each way. I am looking for other people who are also interested in botanical art or natural history illustration and who are closer to home, either physically in and around Leeds or virtually online, for discussions, demonstrations and workshops.
